9 months of NO CROSSFIT???!!
![]() Does anyone have experience training CrossFitters who are pregnant or have been pregnant and stilled trained with CrossFIt? I know that you can keep training at a moderate level (according to ACSM) but is it possible to keep up while pregnant? Information or resources are greatly appreciated! |

i know nothing about this except that i do know that there are pregnant women crossfitting scaled. search here or over on the brandx site under pregnant or pregnancy

http://www.xfitmom.com/ (wfs) gives regular workouts that focus on strength and less on intensity. I don't know whether it's sanctioned by the CF HQ, but I hope it's helpful.

Have you considered using the search function on these boards? There are about a dozen prior threads on training CF during pregnancy.

I've had three babies and exercised through all three of my pregnancies, well, except when I was barfing 24/7.
![]() The general recommendations for exercising when pregnant are to not exceed your current fitness level. In other words, don't go for any personal bests right now, just try to maintain and make small gains. Your ligaments are loosening, you are growing a baby and a placenta, and your nutritional needs are going to increase dramatically. You need to be aware of your heart rate and your body temperature because if baby needs more oxygen or can't cool down, that's bad. Also, be very careful about anything that might cause you to impact anything. Placentas can be touchy and if it detaches, the results are tragic. Good luck. ![]() |

Have you seen the video from CF Santa Cruz that shows Annie doing pullups with a big ol`baby in the oven? Amazing!

Over on the brandx site a lady just had a baby about 4 weeks ago and she logged her pregnancy workouts and is now logging postpartum workouts

What hooked me to crossfit was a video of a pregnant woman doing overhead squats. I want to say that video is in the archive 2005 october. Just wanted to point that out.
