Lightbulb Chicago Crossfitters who go to Bally's on Washington and Wabash

Attention Loop crossfitters!!! I realize this maybe somewhat of a lark...

I workout during the week at the Bally's on Washington and Wabash in downtown Chicago. Is there anybody out there who is willing to start meeting regularly during the week for WOD's at a fixed time?

I know there are other crossfitters who workout there.

I have rings I could bring to the WOD's and Bally's has everything else (for the most part).

Re: Chicago Crossfitters who go to Bally's on Washington and Wabash

Oh wow! I work out at the Bally's on 47th. I am also looking for some CrossFitters who would like to go at some of the WODs together. Maybe I'll have to change my location. Unfortunately, most people don't get to the Bally's at the insane hour that I do (5:00 AM).

What time were you thinking about for the Washington and Wabash Bally's? Maybe if something is figured out, I could drop in on certain days for that workout. I prefer mornings (early mornings if possible).

Actually I am pretty flexible, mornings before work, lunch or in the afternoon after work all work pretty well. My office is about 2 blocks from the club at the corner of Michigan Ave. & Randolph in the Prudential building.

When I go at lunch by and large it is at 11am before the lunch rush.

Re: Chicago Crossfitters who go to Bally's on Washington and Wabash

Does anyone know of a good gym to workout at in or around the loop? Preferably one with bumper plates and a good spot to do pullups. I live in Lincoln Park and work out at the Depaul fitness center. My biggest issue so far is that they only have one place to do pullups (other than the weighted assist machines) and it's part of one of those big universal gym things. The thing only has the bent handles, which I hate, and every time I am trying to do any of the pullup intensive workouts I have to deal with people working in and guys staring at themselves in the mirror doing cable pushdowns who never get the clue to move out of the way. I would like to join one of the affiliate gyms, but due to work constraints I would never be able to make it consistently. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

John
