knee sleeve

I am looking for a pair of knee sleeves.. has anyone found a website where they are a decent price? (preferably Canada, but not limited to) or maybe a store where they can be picked up? I have checked a local fitness still fitness store but they don't carry them.

What thickness should I be looking for?

When I squat, my right knee is has a bit of pain, and It sounds like there is a bit of grinding in the knees ..

Thanks

Re: knee sleeve

I use the blue 7mm rheband sleeves and they help tremendously with the pain in my knees. Not sure where to get them in Canada though. I bought mine from amazon.com

Re: knee sleeve

I got the white Eleiko 7mm sleeves (exactly the same as the blue Rehband's) from vikingweightlifting.com fro $65/pair cdn. It's a bit pricey, but definitely cheaper than the blue Rehbands.

Re: knee sleeve

Don't be afraid to try some good old Ace bandages. You can wrap your knees a zillion different ways and it may be the ticket. In the last couple years the knee sleeve business has gone gangbusters so you have a bunch of choices. Sleeves are good for keeping knees warm and stuff. Also look into the Sling Shot line, specifically the cuffs. Though there are neoprene sleeves as well. http://www.howmuchyabench.net/cuffs.html.

Lately I have been using a Sling Shot cuff below my left knee along with either Rehband or Hookgrip sleeves over them for keeping the knees toasty.

I guess the moral of the story is, they all work I guess.

Re: knee sleeve

I use the HookGrip sleeves. Mainly because they were $15 and I like black and red. Mainly just use them to keep my knees warm, quite often after training or when it gets really cold.
