Had two of the lads from the squadron show up to share in the pain this morning in Kandahar - I didn't have enough time to go over the DB snatch, so they ended up doing DB clean & jerks. Woody has been doing CF for the past 3 weeks, Simon is just getting started. Everyone used pairs of dumbbells for the 'storm.

Results:
Woody 3 rounds 15 lb dumbbells 31:31
Simon 3 rounds 12 lb dumbbells 31:21
Gordo 7 rounds 25 lb dumbbells 1:16:32

A real gut check for me approaching round 5: go the distance or stop after 5? The heat and altitude (40 C, 3300 ft) added to the pleasure. While the weight seemed low for the DLs and swings, the other exercises made up for it!
I am looking forward to hitting next month's storm back in the milder temps of the UK.

Thanks for this month's pain,
Gordo

Thanks, Davie. That was a tough one. I wanted to do 5 rounds... :-( That would have been a good hour and it was just too hot.

1:00:12 7 rounds, with 2x10kg dumbbells for the manmakers and deadlifts, and 1 dumbbell for the other exercises. Surprisingly intense for the volume, I wanted to cry after the 5th round but I had sweat too much to have any tears left.
