This past weekend Kelly Moore and Lynne Pitts attended the RKC Certification in Minneapolis.

As part of the certification weekend, they have what they call a beast challenge. This entails doing a pullup, pistol, and a press with a 48kg(105lb) Kettlebell. This weekend they introduced the competition for women using a 24kg Kettlebell.

Kelly easily performed a press, pistol, and pullup with the 24kg bell. There was a misunderstanding as to who could compete. Otherwise, Lynne would have given it a shot and no doubt done extremely well. Once again, I apologize for this misunderstanding. I personally witnessed Lynne do a press and pullup with the 24kg bell.

Kelly was the only woman in attendance who successfully completed all three lifts and made the pullup look downright easy (I think she pulled to her chest).

Great work Kelly!

Thanks Catherine! While I didn't press the 72 (yet), I'm sure that I will soon after applying the tension techniques you and Steve Cotter passed along to Lynne and me. I want to be able to press the 72 as easily as you do!

No doubt you are going to press it soon. For the record, it ain't ever easy.

You both did a great job at the cert, glad you got some useful tips that will amplify your strength.

Lynne and I are both working on applying all the tension techniques you went over while doing cleans...Lynne really seems to enjoy applying well aimed kicks and strikes as reminders! You taught her too well.

Lynne is also working on pistols and coming along great. She's going to get that final leg of the Beast Challenge.
