Re: A nice Muay Thai Metcon
Checked it out mate but not really for me, if im doing anything like that long those lines it'd be SPEAR with the man Blauer and KM. with Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA and BJJ i think that SPEAR is the best compliment. It's relevant for both martial arts and self defense.
Seems ok but not for me squire. Thanks though. |

Re: A nice Muay Thai Metcon
Spears good m8 but i find for the nuts and bolts stuff nothing makes more sense then micks stuff. Just off note the Robb guy holding the pads in the hook demo trains with the welsh olympic judo team, did MMA, boxing etc. Jon one of the other head instructor used to put on thai matches and train under master Sken. Both obviously rate C2 and its there primary defensive tool suit...
Obviously the big man himself has had a "passing" experience with most traditional styles as well.... ![]() But in any case SPEAR backed up with your skillsets is pretty damn solid m8! As well as a conditioning engine provided by CF ![]() Do you have KM and SPEAR nights, also my boxing is shockingly bad.... |

Not currently as the gyms website isn't live yet (Lame I know but it's a long story - to do with business funding etc.) It goes live next week. Once it's up we'll be archiving them, I'll post the link when it's up but the adddress is www.thefaktory.co.uk So far off the top of my head we have done; The one on the vid. 5x2 min rounds 1 min rest 7 pull-up 7 press-up 7/7 round kick 30/20/10 -30in Box Jump (playing with the idea of jump knee to land on box) 100ft Teep. (need partner with belly pad) 3 rounds 21 swings 1.5 pood 12 pull-ups 21/21 round kick 3 rounds row 500m 30 alternate knee ( in clinch ) 5 rounds 3 Thrusters 5 Hang Power Clean 7 SDHP all 95lbs 10 clinch turn and double knee Tabata Mash-up Row Cals Teep partner (wearing belly pad) for distance Alternate knees (clinch) for reps. (clearly, when repeating the partner has to be the same or weigh the same for comparisons to be legit.) We're just playing with things right now, some will end up being abortions but others should be sound. Feel free to chime in with some if you like and we'll have a pop at them at the box. |

I'm not not rating it fella, could be very useful but time is hard to come by so If anything i'd need to do something that compliments my own skill set an helps my own weaknesses. I think Blauer would be able to help me out with a few things, I was fortunate to have a 1 hr mini seminar at my level 1 in Valencia Cali and it just works. |

![]() I can debate for hours about advantages and applicability of his system - but your definitely further ahead in training and experience then i am. ![]() Youve got loads over there id love to get stuck into and learn. PS definitely think a archive of CF fighting workouts is a useful resource! |

An archive of the workouts will be on the site mate. No probs. I'm looking forward to the pit's workouts as well but may as well crack on with our own too. Not really rocket science is it, esp not if I can do it ![]() |

Re: A nice Muay Thai Metcon
I have a couple of vids to get uploaded but will need a couple of days befire they're posted as i'm strapped for time.
An idea we're playing with at the moment is KB dizzy ducks immediately before a bwt metcon, it seems like a decent idea for replicating serious disorientation and of course is safer than banging someone in the head a few times ![]() Please, if any of you have some ideas we'd love to hear them and give them a try. Cheers. |
