TRX Suspension

Hi guys have a chance to get a really good deal on a TRX suspensions setup, has anyone used these with good results or is it just a waste of money.

Take a look at the CF WOD archives on the mainpage for 4/1/10. That was the last time the TRX was in a wod

Re: TRX Suspension

if you plan out your own workouts or if you like to work out at home the TRX is a valuable tool.

Re: TRX Suspension

Isn't TRX just a more expensive, crappier version of gymnastics rings?

This is exactly what I was thinking, then I saw some workouts where you can put your feet in the TRX and some of those workouts looked really good.

Re: TRX Suspension

I've heard that about the TRX and feet before, but why couldn't you just slip your feet through gymnast rings?

Re: TRX Suspension

I've used both. I think rings are better bang for the buck, although TRX probably have more uses overall.

Re: TRX Suspension

The TRX and the Jungle Gym from Monkey Bar Fitness are great for travel, because you can use them with a closed door, if you can't find something to throw your rings over.

As far as putting your feet in your rings, sure you can, but the straps on the TRX and Jungle Gym make it a heckuva lot more stable and comfortable.

Re: TRX Suspension

The Jungle Gym is also usually less expensive. Jon Hinds (who makes the Jungle Gym) stands behind his stuff too.
