Wednesday's WOD - CFT

Hello all,

This will be my first time lifting weights in about 25 years.

How should I aproach this WOD?

I was planning on just being cautious this time and get some base line numbers for the next time around.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance, Jerry

If it's been that long since you did lifting going on the light side is definitely a good idea.

It's always better to go a little to slow or light then to injure yourself.

Is this WOD for time or how many sets do I do? How am I supposed to know if they don't specify on the WOD?

You are supposed to do a 1 rep max on each exercise. I plan on doing several progression sets to get to my one rep max. I should be about to do 275 on squat and dead and 155 on over head press so I will do at least 5 sets of lower weight to get there. Good luck....

Re: Wednesday's WOD - CFT

Hi everyone! Just signed up here. I've been snooping around the website for about a week and am now taking the plunge into real fitness. Love the website and the community spirit. Doing my first ever WOD later today. Stoked(er.. I mean scared) that it is CFT, should be a great benchmark for future reference. Been doing some basic training(treadmill and body weight exercises) for the last month after a year of laziness. Will report back later with my total. Many thanks to all who made Cross Fit what it is today.

Kallista rocks!
