Re: Jon's Journal

This week started off pretty much the same with my knee, but by Wednesday my knee actually didn't seem swollen that night. It wasn't swollen Thursday night either, but was a little Friday night, I think mainly because I had to load and unload some supplies. I've taken it easy today and it seems to be doing well.

I've still been sort of down because of my knee, which I realize is lame of me to be thinking like that. I've only worked out a couple of times this week and now I feel like I'm getting a cold. Hopefully I can fight it off and be better the first of the week. I have just over a week before I go back to the ortho so I'm hoping by then my knee will be in good enough shape that she'll release me.

On a side note I really considering going back to martial arts class. I still miss it alot and I really need something to focus on. Lately I feeling rather lost.

Re: Jon's Journal

Started at CrossFit Greensboro about three weeks ago. I'm going to start logging my workouts again here. Here are a few from the last couple of weeks that I can recall. Times are as close I can remember. I missed most of last week with a cold.

WallBall - AMAP in 5 min. 15 lbs. Ball
98 WallBalls

500m Row/15 Wall Balls/ 10 Pull ups AMRAP in 12 minutes
2 Rounds and 200m row

30 Muscle ups for time or 120 pull ups and 120 Ring dips for time. Progression is regular, feet on the ground to jumping.
27 min. (I think) All pullups and ring dips - ring dips need work

Thrusters 3-3-3-3-3
After a few warmup sets, used 155 lbs.

100 burpees for time
13 min. (approx.)

Fishbowl with a 30 minute time limit....
30 Wipers
30 Burpee touches a foot over your standing reach
30 2 for 1 Wall balls
100 over the line alternating jump ropes
30 Inverted Burpees
30 Kb thrusters each arm
30 Toes to rings
30 Step up with 50# Sand bag on 18" box

Finished everything except 10 Wipers and 30 Burpee touches

100 thrusters for time (95 lbs.)
14:45 min. (approx.)

50 Pushups
Run 400m
50 Pullups
50 Double Unders

I did ring dips with toes on the ground
I did 30 regular and 20 jumping pullups
I did 200 reps instead of 50 double unders

Time 26:40

Re: Jon's Journal

Isabel (modified for weight)

30 Snatches for time (95 lbs.)

6:27
After I got done, I believe I could have went faster. I think I was worried about burning out too fast. This was my first experience with snatching, so that's alright.

Re: Jon's Journal

"Sevens"

7 Reps of Sumo Deadlift High-Pull
7 Burpees
AMRAP in 7 minutes

I did either 7.5 rounds or 8.5 rounds. I sort of lost count of my rounds when I was counting my reps. Either way it was a good workout. Burpees suck ***!

Re: Jon's Journal

Yesterday's Workout
In a race setting, 2 people carried the sandbag up a hill then turned and run a 100 meters to a cone. Women would then carry 25# and men 45# overhead for a 100 foot walking lunge. At the next cone they would sprint another 100 meter and do either 25 or 50 push ups. They would sprint 60 meters and do 50 squats. Finally, they would sprint 200 meters and do 25 burpees. They finished by sprinting the remaining 200m in.
12:45 min.

Today's Workout
5 Rep's Deadlift (225 lbs.)
10 Burpees
5 Rounds

8:01 min.

Re: Jon's Journal

Took yesterday off due to lower back soreness from the deadlifts. I better pay attention to my form better next time.

Today's workout at Triad Park was done around the volleyball courts in the sand.

Run 1 lap (480') with 50 lbs. sandbag
Run 1 lap (480') without sandbag
Walking lunges for 150'
Run 330' back to beginning
Burpee Broadjump 150'
Run 330' back to beginning
Run 150' dragging tire forwards
Run 150' dragging tire backwards
Run 1 lap (480')

My time was just over 10 minutes
Good workout - The burpee broadjumps were the worst part
