Not sleeping well since Fri.
Didnt get hollered at to keep my hips down all night;
made sure to point my elbows the right way and looking for that hamstring tension pulling my knees back, much better 1st pull and extension but not quite getting my lap thing the way I did with the hang.
It didnt seem like a big workout but my legs & lower back and butt are unusually sore today. Kinda hoping that means whatever is sore / my hip extension will get stronger now.

75kg this am.

Recovery day, still have a headache. Coach said try splitting the sessions squat in the am, fresher. B/C Granny's a weakling. Trying to get me to bounce. Not looking forward to the hit my other lifts are bound to take.

And getting stupider as I age. PMS + lo blood pressure, coffee, water & excedrin. + squats. DO NOT MIX. even light squats! Started drinking Nitrean shake & ate a nectarine partway thru so I wouldn't throw up, lightheaded and shaky like I would be w/heavy weight. Some parts of being a girl just suck! Not sure if its PMS or age or both - its like playing hide and seek w my strength - yoo hoo, where Aaaaarrrreee you??? Such light squats, too.
Gonna have to get up earlier and eat first. Been 2,2.5k cals/day. Maybe need to eat more.

recovery worout; not getting quite the hang I should, better but need more....

1 Mile Brisk Walk (because the dog that loves me was all over me and talking the whole time. It looks like he's going to bite me in the a$$, but really he's talking! Dying to go for a walk. Gonna start calling him Goliath! the pix reminds me to see if my tractor is fixed yet, yard's like a jungle!) Weird walk, Ive never been hit by a cicada before, its like a 3-4" bullet! Odd bugs, they look fake! Kinda scary but not as scary as millipedes. Felt much better after this exercise.

169# this am. 2500 cals yesterday and day before. I dont add a lot of fat but a lot of my cals are fat from meat (tracking on fitday.com wfs).

and - who am I kidding? the dog was probably saying "172#!!! your a$$ is blocking my sun!"

Same deal w/new snatch; harder to pull the bar back enough when the weight gets heavier or I get tireder. Seems like completely diff muscles. Trying to find that tension in my hamstrings and low back.
Catch and landing are screwy now b/c not sure where the bar is going to wind up, kinda feel like I might be stopping it from going back where it should be, afraid Ill lose it back? Lot of hesitation in my sit. The lighter weights just fly up, just gotta control and sit fast. Even the heavier ones w/the hip extension now seems like plenty room to get under.

I had the 100# and lost it in the catch; then I had a forward landing wound up on my knees. Didnt even feel heavy. But I snatched up to that w/no misses. Fun!

Warmup of sorts - trying to squat first thing....light as these were, snatch will pbly suck tonite . I have more problems w/keeping my back up than feeling this in my legs. maybe low back strength or just flexibility.
same deal, heels and catch the bounce.

I guess its cicada season but theyre not leaving their bodies yet; standing on my deck, im hearing this LOUD cicada, looking off for it.... it was under my hand on the deck rail. They look like fake plastic bugs!! wanted to take a pix but it was gone when I grabbed the cam. Half asleep during these, the talking dog didn't ask, he just took off for a run!

Hi ya Deb, I have followed you log for a wile, just wanted to say hey. We have the cicadas too, allthough the season is past for the most part. I catch them and show them to my son and wife. Cathy does'nt like them much but puts up with me messing with them. Crazy bugs.

I have found squats don't really bother other lifts to much when I give enough time inbetwween exercizes. I bet you were feeling rough that day wnere you took the excedrin and low blood. I can't tak one in the morning and by noon for the workout my hearts still pounds and I get dizzy.
