old fashioned oats

so recently ive started cooking old fashioned oats but I am fearful that because of the 29 grams of carbohydrates I shouldn't be eating it. I've really based by diet back to fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts and seeds. Is it alright if I eat some 100% whole grain oats? Thanks for any help.

Re: old fashioned oats

They are alright according to the Zone, but they are a grain, so paleo eaters don't eat them. At least they are gluten-free.

Re: old fashioned oats

It shouldn't affect my performance or my progress in crossfit training though. Right?

Re: old fashioned oats

Oatmeal is fine. Paleo purists would disagree, but you could do a whole lot worse than eat oatmeal.
