CrossFit Mobility Course

I am considering the CrossFit Movement and Mobility Trainer Course taught by Kelly Starrett. Did anybody do it? Is it worth attending? Thanks.

Absolutely, though with him doing his daily MWODs for free I'd say the course is less essential than it used to be. It would still be worth it if you have trouble understanding the concepts on his videos or have some specific questions to ask him.

Re: CrossFit Mobility Course

My coach did it, and loved it, he shows us tons of mobility exercises for the many problems we come across, although I'm sure he got almost all of them from MWOD. I am not sure exactly what else hey teach besides some exercises (which I am going to assume they do, but by all means, anybody correct me if I am wrong as I have never attended the cert), but I know he took the cert a second time because he had a single question to ask KStar. Must've been important.

Re: CrossFit Mobility Course

It is most definitely worth it. I am lucky enough to be a member of Kelly's box and gather bits if knowledge while he is coaching. I can say that when you learn how to properly increase your mobility you will definitely see gains and feel better during lifts.

The one thing that gets me is that his class is never near our hometown of San Francisco, otherwise I would be there too!

The one I attended was in CrossFit Pleasanton. It was just a few months ago actually.

K Starrs knowledge is important on a basic ability of being improving anyone, for anything, inside or outside of CF. Every human being should be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves.
