Re: looking to buy a heavy sledgehammer

You don't have a local hardware store you could get one from? I'm not even sure if I could swing a 25kg sledgehammer...the times I've used 16-20lb ones have worn me out enough. You should be able to find one of those for $30-40 at a Home Depot (or Canadian equivalent).

Re: looking to buy a heavy sledgehammer

The highest weight the sledges go up in the Lowes and Home Depots around here are 10 lbs. However I was in a small Hardware store the other day and found quite a few 20 lbers. So you might try a smaller hardware store.

Or you could always order the war hammer. Or whatever that shot loaded hammer from Rogue is called.

Re: looking to buy a heavy sledgehammer

I have researched these quite a bit. The Rogue one is going to be the best bet.

There is a very small company also that makes them and its basically a one man shop. He is super kind and a VERY nice guy. Will make you a custom off of anything. Link below.....

Re: looking to buy a heavy sledgehammer

Since you are from Edmonton. The cheapest hammer I have found is from the store Physique (there is a shop in edmonton). The currently have a 10kg hammer for $64.95, 15kg for $99.99, 25kg for $159.99.

Also Bells of Steel sells sledge hammers too. But you have to pick them up from Calgary.
