row half marathon WOD

Anyone do it? What's your time? Anyone sub in sdhp? I'm gonna try that today since I don't have a rower. Should be interesting trying to do 2100 without dying and all.

Re: row half marathon WOD

My buddy posted a video today. It was a guy and his wife on rowers in their garage. Very impressive really. He maintained a 500m pace of 1:53 and finished it 1:21 or so. She was slightly behind at 1:42 I think. They talked about mixing it up to rest legs, arms and back by compensating with the others on an alternating basis.

Looks like a nightmare to me!

Re: row half marathon WOD

i would NOT do SDHP instead of the rowing since it is a risky movement and doing 2100 of them is not smart at all.

a dumba$$ movement repeated 2100 times is a recipe for a future post in the "injuries" forum.

do the row or just run a 1/2 marathon. Or just don't do either. It won't make a difference in your training - I promise. That many SDHP will make a difference though. Your call.

Re: row half marathon WOD

as I can see with no post I surely hope you did not so the sdhp s......my row was in 1:44:40 and my buddies was 1:35:03 and 1:33:10....our 2000m rows were all around 7 flat....I did Elizabeth after with 10 minutes rest in 10:03....it really didn't feel like a cardio workout we had a ton of breath....more or less a pain workout one or more body parts were just destroyed and couldn't sit still it hurt so bad...more a mental workout.....I would say do it fresh or that lingering pain is going to turn into a nightmare as it did us

Re: row half marathon WOD

Did it the other day in 1:38, took breaks every 5k to get sip water and change the music. My buddy did it in 1:34, not very tough at all in my opinion. Hurt your butt to sit there for that long, probably going faster would've changed things.

Re: row half marathon WOD

Did it yesterday

I got 1:25:57, my buddy got 1:25:41

Last 5k I stopped every 1000 to sip water and stretch hammies, any sudden movements and i would just cramp up terribly lol.

kept a 1:55-2:05 pace throughout row after the 2k
