Re: row half marathon WOD

A friend of mine (endurance guy) did the row in 1:33:something. Pretty impressive, if you ask me.

Re: row half marathon WOD

Did it today in 1:38:57. Was way easier than I expected, with the only problem that my butt and hamstrings hurt horable due to sitting all day. Think I could have done it faster, but if your whole experiance with long distance rowing is one 5 k row, than you better save some energy early and put it in at the end.
This workout should not be a problem for anybody how ever did a Half-Marathon (or more) run. Nice workout though. Just different to what I thought it would be.

Did this today 1:40:47. Agree with other posts, this is not a tough cardio workout. Total mental exercise to get through hour and a half plus of sitting in same place all while your butt is on fire. Wonder if there is a different seat for longer distances???

Re: row half marathon WOD

I did this last Thursday and finished in 1:25:24

I kept a 1:45 pace for most of the first 2k, then dropped off to a 1:55 for a while, and then just tried to maintain a sub 2:00 split. I had the occasional few pulls over 2:00 and then picked it up for a few to balance out. I did stop for water I believe 6 times, with 4 of those getting off the rower for 15-20 seconds while the timer was still running.

Re: row half marathon WOD

The question is: did you hit the first 2K hard?

I didn't. My PR 2k is a 6:41 and I did 7:21 on here. I was not targeting 2 distances and just focused on the end goal.
