Glute/Ham Knee Pads

I don't mean to rehash all the Glute Ham threads on the board but I haven't seen this question addressed directly.

I am deciding between the Legend 3130 and the York. The major functional difference I see between the two is that the York has a knee pad while the legend does not.

Is the knee pad just a matter of comfort or does it assist the glute ham raise movement? If it does assist is this a cheat or a helpful progression?

Thanks for your help,
nia

We sell the York and don't feel there is advantage of one or the other. Check it out on ebay.

Thanks for the response Christian. So is the knee pad useless? In the way?

Re: Glute/Ham Knee Pads

It doesn't get in the way at all. You can kneel on the pads when you're getting your feet in position on the bench and it gives you extra stability on the top part of the lift (but it's not a cheat). Personal preference, I suppose, but the knee pads are handy to have.

They are not useles, just a personal preference. If you are not use to using one of these, it helps you to learn.
