Friday morning and feeling ok, ready to go. Wife was tired today. real tired.... last day of the week so what do we expect. Put a plan together to vary things up a little. Wife wanted some back work today... so i met her requirements

Warm up
4 rounds each
20/40 Du/Su
4 lengths jog of gym

other rowed at a confortable pace during that time then swap places.

Stretch to get the body going and extensive PVC pipe shoulder mobility.

So for today
AMRAP 4
5 KB swings (US style) 20/12kgs
20/40 Du/Su
10 KB swings
20/40 Du/Su
15 KB swings (US style) 20/12kgs
20/40 Du/Su
20 KB swings (US style) 20/12kgs
20/40 Du/Su
and so on

Wife - 137reps
Myself - 134 reps

Yesterday i shortened my speed rope by 4" (10cm) as i thought this might makes things a little easier.... apparently not!!!! maybe i can take an inch off but not 4. So i messed up on my first Du's and lost time on the wife. Why try and fix something when it is not broken. This was only a test as i have ordered a couple of new cables as mine is worn out... i will be going back to my old length on the new cable.


EMOM 6
Wife - 8 strict DB rows on a flat bench (8 & 9kg Db's)
Myself - 1 C2B & 1 strict muscle up

This was nice and easy for both of us, no stress just focus on a time limit and quality of the movements.


AMRAP 4

2 rounds
5 T2B7K2C
5 push ups

2 rounds
10 T2B7K2C
105 push ups

2 rounds
15 T2B7K2C
15 push ups

and so on.

Wife - 84 reps
Myself - 67 reps

Wife always blasts past me on the K2C.. no difference to day.


10min
resistance band workout for back, multiple exercises allot of reps.

Cool Down
stretch for 15min


That was that for the moment, going to be a little less logging our workouts over the coming 2 weeks, but we will be back

Very simple 25km ride to and over the Golden Gate Bridge all in all 2 1/2 hours.

Back to basics... body building today at Golds Gym today 👍

8x8 cable row wife took it up to around 40 kgs and I took it to 80-90 kgs
7x8 lat pull downs 40-85 kgs
6x8 DB row 12-35 kgs

8x8-4 reps squat wife took it 45 and I went to 100kgs
6x8 leg curls 25-55kgs
6x8 leg extensions 25-65kgs

Found a rower
4x300m wife pace 2.20-2.10 myself 1.55-1.40
3x200m wife 2.10-2.00 myself 1.45-1.35
3x100m wife 22 seconds myself 18 seconds

Lite stretch and went shopping loads of gear

Rented 2 bikes and rode Venice beach, Santa Monica and the Marina during the whole day around 28km.

Venice Beach workout today.. marked up 2 lines 20m apart in the sand.

1st to get going
1 burpee
1 20m run
1 burpee
1 20m run
2, 2, 3, 3 - 5

2nd
1 push up
1 20m run
2 push ups
1 20m run
3 push ups
1 20m run
All the way to 10

3rd

2 air squats
1 20m run
2 air squats
1 20m run
4,4,6,6,8,8,10,10


4th
2 walking lunges
Walk to other end of 20m
2 walking lunges
Walk to other end of 20m
4,4,6,6,8,8,10,10

Final 5 rounds
5 sit ups
1 20m jog
5 superman x 5 second hold
1 20m jog

Then sunbathe for a few hours. Very hot today 35 degrees centigrade at least.

Things were great Vic 104f and plenty of cold drinks were the solution.

Had a really good time. Missed one day as the flight was cancelled

Back in SFO a couple of days and then we leave for home and cold weather.

At the moment we are both missing a barbell which is exactly what we need. We are both motivated to get things going again.

Loved the hot weather Vic... recharged the batteries for the winter

Maybe next time when/if things work out
