First of all let me thank Greg and Lauren for making my visit possible!! I made a one day detour on my way home from LA. But my timing matched up with the preparations for there new addition. So officially they were closed. But due to there kindness they worked around it all to see me.

The couple of hours I spent with Greg were priceless! I have always admired the Coaches work through his writing but working with him educated, enlightened, motivated and of course exhausted me. Thanks alot!

I also met Rob and two other people whose name escapes me at the moment (sorry) Thanks again for your encouragement during my session.

It is always great to put names with faces. In a small way I got a sense of what a great community it is working out at Crossfit. Everyone there was very helpful and genuinely interested in my progress during the session. I could see how that is always the case at Crossfit.

I appreciate Coach taking the time to arm me with the additional skills to make my Crossfit workouts more effective. I promise to put them to good use.

Coach and Lauren, I hope to see you in Chicago some time in the future, you always have a place to stay! And next time I am up your way, I will definately take you up on the bike ride offer.

Hey, Dave and Larry! I live in Arlington Heights. I would love to see Crossfit Midwest in the future! Even though I am still new to Crossfit, I would sign up right away. Crossfit rocks! Also, where do you guys do your workouts?

Larry, did you buy or build your equipment? Probably both? How long did it take you to set up a home gym?
KEG! That's a good idea - I think I am going to get a Crossfit shirt too.

Bought a power rack & olympic set, extra weights. Made med ball (20 lb) have swiss ball, power blocks, bought a Concept II on Ebay, made dip bars, bought a pully machine, etc. I'm always looking for new equipment or building somthing new. Best purchase was the power rack, used for $100! Powerblocks were also a good purchase, one of the only items purchased new.

I'm another Chicagoan. I live in the city, not far from downtown. I have a home gym as well but would love, time permitting, to venture out w/ others in the area.
