Re: Proper Body Weight Gain?

Lol...dude that's rough! I've never had raw egg, I've always thought it was bad for you and risky as well. I guess if it works for you then go for it. A little update about myself, since I've started 10 weeks ago I've gained just under 20 pounds which puts me at 170 when I was 152. Been eating pretty healthy for the most part aside from some desserts from the holidays and whatnot. Lots of tuna, peanut butter, cottage cheese, quinoa, avocados and the list goes on. Along with the diet I've been doing crossfit workouts 3-5 days a week. Pretty stoked!

Re: Proper Body Weight Gain?

I am surprised no one mentioned this, but do you have a goal amount of lbs in mind?

to me that's where you'd want to start, identifying goals, which in this case is how much weight do you want to add, and in how much time.

Re: Proper Body Weight Gain?

Yeah man I want to be about 175-180 but ~10-12% body fat. As of last night I was up to 170.8 and ~14.5% BF...so I'm getting closer to my goal. As far as how quick I want to get there...I don't expect to be there tomorrow, but I don't want it to take till the end of the year. I think I can meet my goal before summer time if not sooner?

Re: Proper Body Weight Gain?

I put on the most (good) weight when I regularly hit the compound lifts and eat a LARGE amount of high quality, single ingredient foods.

It looks like you're on the right path... just don't let it go if it doesn't happen in the time you'd like it to. These kind of things never go "A to B", more like squiggly lines of travel through both until, eventually, you realize you hit it.

Stay consistent.
