On Thursday, March 6th, I did:

1 RM snatch = 83# (PR!)
1 RM clean and jerk = 113#

While 113# is not the most I've ever C&Jed, this felt like a huge PR. It's been a long time since I succeeded in lifting more than 105#!

Open 14.2

I really wanted to get to the 12s. It didn't happen.

25 reps total for me.

0:00 - 3:00

2 rounds of
10 OHS, 65#
10 chest-to-bar pullups

3:00 - 6:00

2 rounds of
12 OHS, 65#
12 chest-to-bar pullups

6:00 - 9:00

2 rounds of
14 OHS, 65#
14 chest-to-bar pullups

And so on, until you fail to complete the 2 rounds in 3 minutes.


Took me a minute to do the first set of OHS. Did them unbroken, but had to go really slow to ensure I have balance and control over the bar.
C2B pullups were very wasteful in terms of energy. Put almost as much power in each rep as I would in bar muscle ups!
Only 5 reps in the second set of OHS. 3 + 2. Partly mental, I knew I didn't make it to where I wanted to be. I could've had 1-2 more reps.

Yesterday we played Gorilla Golf. 18 'holes', 14 lbs med ball. Took me 185 throws (pathetic! the course record is 56, and the average is around 85!). I guess I got a better workout this way

March 16th -- Open 14.3 at CF Blade

In 8 minutes, I completed

10 deadlifts at 95#
15 step-ups
15 deadlifts at 135#
15 step-ups
20 deadlifts at 155#
15 step-ups -- 7:01
1 deadlift at 185#

For a total of 91 reps

First I did

Front squats 3-3-3-3-3 at 83#, 3 sec pause at the bottom of each squat.

Then, "Mo Cuishle":

5 rounds of

15 burpees in XX seconds
XX squats
1 min rest

TIME: 19:55

Squats: 50+54+65+55+57 = 281

Then, "Buffy" with ski-erg:
