Donald, didn't you know using machines to kill yourself is anathema to crossfitters.

You have to do it MANUALLY and preferably with weight swinging over your head.

But I'm a gear head Laura! My whole life is about machines and fixing them.
I guess I am a little silly; working out till I'm gassed, then cruising around the yard on my riding mower. Kinda like those health club athletes who cruise around the parking lot trying to park as close to the gym as possible so they don't have to walk too far.
Actually, they've been working on this thing for a few years now. They were wanting to sell them to the military, but if I was a soldier, I don't think I'd be too thrilled about hovering around over enemy territory with both hands full, and no armor.

Plus, you couldn't sneak up on Helen Keller with one of those things!! Cool toy, tactical as a red plume on a K-pot.

From Laura regarding the approved CrossFit method of self termination:

"You have to do it MANUALLY and preferably with weight swinging over your head."

Glen Carpenter, the Brit SWAT buddy of mine who has started CrossFitting with me, hit himself on the noggin with a 44 pound kettlebell yesterday. He was wearing a weight belt for our workout, but has not used any wrist straps...yet. There were six of us doing three different exercises, pushups, air squats to a Dynamax ball, and 44 pound KB snatches. Two per exercise station doing the Tabata protocol with 1:10 between stations. Somehow Glen managed to let the bell get all wonky overhead and, perhaps because he did not have wrist wraps, elbow wraps or maybe a headband, the earth's pull overcame his push and down came the weight on top of his head. Apparently swearing and rubbing your head is the appropriate first aid for such an event.

Eugene,
He did the swearing and rubbing after first looking to see who was laughing, and if any of them were girls right?

I can't help but think that maybe, because of Eugene's propensity for hilarity, Glen was already busting up at something Eugene said to him in the first place, causing said incident. Think?
