So I just got a great deal on a model D Concept 2 off of Craigslist. It was $550 and he had only had it for a month. However, this morning my wife called me at work and said someone was giving away a free rower. She said it looked like mine but I could not believe that someone would be giving away a Concept 2 so I just let it go. When I got home from work today I looked at the posting and sure enough it is a Model C Concept 2. My soul is seriously hurting right now. Someone just made the score of the century.

The Model C is perfectly fine, especially for free. You can upgrade the handles to the "D" style and the PM module to the PM3 or PM4. I'd rather get a Model "C" for free and upgrade it for $175 than a Model "D" for $550...

From the Concept2 website, work/family safe:

A Model "D" for $550 is a great deal, too...

Don't beat yourself up over it. You still got a great deal. The free one was probably broken, right?

That has been my mantra: "It was broken, mine is better, it was broken, mine is better....
