400m PR

started a cycle of CF for the last 2 months. before that i was doing starting strength and gymnastics.

number of workouts a week: 3
number of workouts that had running in them, total: 3
400m time before: 1:04.76
400m time after: 57.27

definitely the most painful PR ever. the last 60 meters were run in a state pretty close to rigor mortis.

Re: 400m PR

yeah. strange how there was only a 7 second difference...but at this speed was the first time that the 400 felt like a SPRINT.

Re: 400m PR

Nice work, David. I'm trying to crack 1:00. I got a 1:07 yesterday after 5 laps of sprinting the straights and walking the corners so I think I'm pretty close.

It's kind of depressing but that would still put me 10 seconds away from the U.S. women's HIGH SCHOOL record! Sorry no typo; that's HIGH SCHOOL.

Re: 400m PR

Don't be too disheartened. A lot of other high school girls are advanced or elite gymnasts, and they would make you look like an even bigger wuss.

Okay, Dogbert moment over.
