Dynamax Bitter at CrossFit?

Check out this email I got from Dynamax, anyone have any background on this?

We are currently back ordered on all our weights. 20 lb balls to crossfit is our lowest priority and we no longer discount to Crossfit.
As a matter of fact we prefer to distance ourselves from the Crossfit inner circle and what they have become.

You might call CF HQ to purchase the ball they have developed for their few uses. I am sure they will discount it. The garage gym store that distributes their ball is in San Diego. This would minimize your shipping cost.

Subject: 20lb Ball

I heard a rumor that you are back-ordered on 20lb medicine balls, is that true?

Do you offer discounts for Military or CrossFitters?

Thanks,
AJ

So Cross Fitters, where can I get a 20lb ball?

Re: Dynamax Bitter at CrossFit?

$70!! Wow, at such an amazingly low price, how could you do anything else but buy this great product that you shouldn't really be squatting down to and otherwise just throw at a wall!

I'd say we really don't know the full story here. They've always been warning people about getting the 20lb balls, but...

Looks like someone took the dynamax design and made it better for a cheaper price

The G2 video made it look like you can throw, toss, and SLAM their balls. Is that true? Is it a more durable ball than the Dynamax that you can slam it? I've always heard to avoid slamming my Dynamax; that it might rip or burst.
