Great job on Fran Luke!

My team just won trivia night at the Troy pub/Browns/Taproom. We get a 50 dollar bar tab and a round of beers for the round we won earlier in the night so it looks like I won't be working out next wednesday night either.

I'll do Murph with the vest again for memorial day.

About the hero workouts....

last veteran's day, I did 3 Hero workouts back-to-back: Murph, Michael, and JT.

this memorial day, I will be 5 weeks out from surgery, so I don't know exactly what shape I will be in; I'll probably still be in a cervical collar

but I give my pledge that I will come in and do whatever I am capable of to honor the day, even if it means just a 5k walk on the treadmill

so yes, God willing, I'll participate

Wow, thank you so much Jay. That was one of the nicer things anyone has ever written about me.

Yeah, boy, do I hate Fran. With the fire of a thousand suns, I hate Fran. But, as I am a man of my word, I had no choice, I had to get it out of the way. It's not the doing it, though that sucks it's over briefly. It's the horrendous apprehension beforehand, and then, oh my lord......The way you feel afterwards.

So I'd get up, walk like ten feet, feel like I had a jumble of heavy cutlery in my head which would move and slice everything if I so much as jostled them, sit down, feel a little better, get up and realize that the cutlery was now a bunch of running chainsaws, sit down, get up, realize the chainsaws were now ****ed off pre-menopausal garden gnomes with sledgehammers, etc.

Not to mention the hordes of ****ed off ferrets eating my stomach from the inside out.

Many thanks to all for watching me huff and puff through that one. Special thanks to Jess D. and Niki for imploring me to, with due haste, remove puss from face, then coaching me through. But special thanks to Jay. I don't tell him enough how he's my little everything.

Yeah, I read it, after that travesty of BS and poor journalistic practice and generally insulting nincompoopism that was the NY Times article last week. The funny thing, however, is it looks like they took all the CrossFitters out there, shaved their chests and arms and pits, then did photo shoots of them doing the workouts. It's silly.

30 GHD Sit ups
25 Back Extensions
Time: 13:53

Max Push ups: 34, after the workout, so I'm hoping I might be able to do a few more.

Just a note to everyone, please note that class on Friday will be starting at around 5:30, a half hour earlier than usual, but dont worry if you are there around 6pm, we will still suit a workout for you as usual! Any questions feel free to call me 221-2037....
