Re: Brandi's Bean Count

Particularly rough day involving my divorce. Didn't budge in the sugar department, but I did have a can of diet coke. Compromise.

Day 3 - August 15
*2 mile run, de-loaded backsquats and bench presses
8 hours of sleep

Bfast: two eggs, red/green peppers, banana peppers, onions, with sauteed spinach and grilled mushrooms, coffee
Lunch: one plum (didn't plan well)
Dinner: 15 small chicken wings, spinach/mushrooms leftover from earlier, small bowl of coconut flakes with almond milk, can of diet coke.

I hate dieting like Mitt Romney hates Planned Parenthood. When I close my eyes all I see is Reeces Pieces. *sigh*

I worked out but I can't find my log book. It was a light/deload week anyway. I'll pick back up with daily logs as of tonight. It helps to do that daily... need to keep better track of things.

Looking back, it wasn't that bad of a week. Gonna keep it up!

Hope you feel better, lady.

And for what it's worth, I hate dieting too.

Re: Brandi's Bean Count

Thursday August 29
fasted 30 min walk

Bfast: Coffee
Lunch: Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce/Tomato, mayo, & cheese on a crepe
* This is the only thing lately that I've eaten that made me feel guilty. It really didn't set well with my stomach either. I didn't know about the cheese... (I ordered a BLT basically... you don't put cheese on that!) I didn't eat most of the crepe - still, I regretted eating it at all
2nd Lunch: ground beef with tomatoes, small sweet potato
* realized I didn't have any vegetables today really
Snack: 2 squares of dark chocolate
* I was desperately hungry
Dinner: I WAS SO HUNGRY!!! I ate a 500* burger with bacon and american, 1/2 the bun, and an order of garlic fries, and a gatorade. I can have more self control when I don't starve myself.

Re: Brandi's Bean Count

Sitting at my job this morning with no coffee and one dress shoe, I was thinking about something a friend mentioned yesterday. This is my perspective on this topic:

"Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels." - Kate Moss

I disagree. Skinny doesnt feel nearly as good as how healthy feels. One is an aesthetic, superficial, hollow coat of armor propagated by social media and peer pressure; The other is a self-accepting, deep down happy, soul-nurturing way of life. The misconception is that the two are inclusive of one another. I think they will always be antonymic concepts. Why? Because guilt will never yield self-esteem. People who self-loathe will never feel good.
