brand new to everything crossfit

hey guys,
I've been just lifting on and off at home and at the gym for a few years and the big reason it has been on and off is mostly because of boredom. as of late i have been on a good roll with my lifting doing everything I can to stay interested by changing my routine every week but when it comes down to it I'm still always looking for more.

last year i watched the crossfit games and I was very interested on the physical fitness of the athletes and I wanted to do it... never did and just within the last few weeks I have been cutting my gym time to 2X a week for benching and deadlifts and doing crossfit type training at home/at park. I dont have the means to afford to go to a box so i'm checking wod's here now and just killin how I can.

I currently train at home with my kettlebell, sandbag, trx, body weight and my finace just ordered a climbing rope and gymnastic rings so I will be doing more soon..

Looking forward to doing and learning all I can can!

Hey Richard, welcome!!! I started just over a month ago and it's pretty awesome. There are lots of good workouts you can do at home, just make sure you're doing them properly so you don't hurt yourself. Good luck!

Re: brand new to everything crossfit

Thanks! Yeah it is fun and it gives me what I like and that's a challenge. I'm very competitive even when it comes to myself and that's what I'm loving. With body building/power lifting when stuff gets heavy you just kind rest more till you can do it.. the other day when I did the "Angie" I was kicking my own *** just getting through the pullups... but I finished and it hurt but I liked that I had that goal to finish.. so I'm loving it and I'm getting addicted fast ....
