Re: AF/Klokov stuff

Just ordered mine. I have no idea how they are able to sell a bar with these specs for this little money but I am not passing on it. Chrome bar , 28mm, needle bearing, center knurl for $320 is insane .

Also, did you see the Team AF bar revamp? 206k PSI, 5 needle bearings and bronze bushing system, and better whip and knurl on those bars. And only $20 more than the current generation of bar ($229.00+shipping).

Re: AF/Klokov stuff

Anyone seen the Klokov bar and the xtraining bearing bar?
The Xtraining bearing bar left a lot to be desired and it has a very simlar price point...I would hate to be disappointed if the Klokov bar was anything like that one...

There are a few reviews out there including one from Barbell Shrugged and so far, everybody is raving about itm also, I have no doubt that Jon and the AF team will stand 100% behind this bar like they do with everything else so I am buying (or I should say bought ) with confidence.

Re: AF/Klokov stuff

I'm most curious about the knurling, I love the new Ohio bar knurling, it's probably the nicest I've felt. I like the DHS bar knurling too, I don't like the pendlay nb bearing, too soft.

How does it compare to other bars you have used?

Re: AF/Klokov stuff

I was fortunate enough to compete at the Risto Sports meet in Las Vegas where they used these bars and plates for the competition. The kneeling on the bar was extremely nice, I train on a Pendlay Bearing bar and it was slightly Less aggressive than that, but somehow I still felt more locked in to the bar than with the Pendlay. Overall I really enjoyed using that bar and would recommend it to anyone. The plates were also very high quality and The material was much nicer than that of the Pendlay Comp bumpers and the older Rogue Comp bumpers.

Re: AF/Klokov stuff

Cool to see some reviews.

Asked Gwen Sisto of RistoSports about the bar. They hosted that LV meet. She said they have their stuff at their gym and lift on it all the time.

She said it was the best CF bar she ever lifted on, better than a Rogue or Pendlay. Spin was not quite an Eleiko or Werksan but maybe that's because it's bearing and bushings.

Well I pulled the trigger on the klokov bar. I couldn't resist that price for those specs. Chrome, 5 bearings per sleeve, center knurl.
