Great work. Wish I had the same weather.

Carried the KB with you between bases. I used a 16 kg.
Now this sounds like it is fun, yet very painful!

Thanks! I like doing the hero WODs. Gives you something to focus on when it gets hard to finish. I always think of the guy we're doing the workout for and think of how he'd like to have a chance to do it alongside the rest of us.

Yeah, you're missing some nice Tennessee weather this weekend! As you know, it won't last long.

It was pretty fun to do but that Kettlebell gets heavy to lug around the whole time. Guess that was the point!

Re: Suzanne's CrossFit Extravaganza

CrossFit warm up

WOD

Deadlift 5-4-4-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1

165 x5
185 x4
185 x4
205 x3
210 x3
215 x2
215 x2
215 x2
225 x1
225 x1
235 F
225 x1

150 sit ups for time 5:03

Tired. That was a lot of deadlifting! Couldn't get the 235# to move off the ground today, which would have been a PR. Oh well. I'll get it next time.

Isn't it amazing how much of a difference a measly 10 pounds can make?

Don't I know!! I had a really good power lifter watching my failed attempt (he has over a 600 lb DL). He said, "I could tell when you set up that you weren't going to get it." I started shooting my hips up when I got to the 225# reps.

From fatigue? I am still learning. I just started. I've only had 3 DL sessions. I am at 220 though. I tried 225 but that damn 5 lbs !!!

I just think that whatever form flaws you have in a lift will start to be magnified when you get to maximal loads. That is what I have observed anyway. I need to keep my shoulders back and hips down better as I start to pull.

You're doing great so far. Keep it up! It's so much fun to pull that heavy weight off the floor I Deadlifts!
