Gonna kick *** and take names

Hey guys, thought id start a logg.
Background = im from Scotland, live near Edinburgh. Im a rugby player, always used more bodybuilding routines. successfully put on 30lbs in last 14months using DC. Probs about 20-25lbs muscle and 5-10 fat.

Max lifts are 137Kg's on the squat.About 170kgs on deadlift (im not 100% sure, i have done 155kg's for 5 reps last week).

6'1 tall, about 210lbs.

Started Cf yesterday, was great starting with 'Griffin.'
workout was pretty horrible, but knowing it was named after someone fighting for their country and what they believed in, made me keep pushing myself harder and harder.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this hard time.

Hey guys 2nd day of CF, deadlifts.

I did 1x139Kg's
1x150Kg's
1x155Kg's
1x160Kg's
1x162.5Kg's

Al for the specified sets of 3 reps.

Before that i did 3x5 of standing press with 40kg's,50kg's and 52Kg's.

I know the pressing work wasnt on the WOD, but i was speaking to David Easton of CF Motherwall (central scotland), and he gave me 9 excercises to go through. I do one each time i go to gym for 3 sets of 5, just before i do the WOD, unless it will negatively effect the WOD.

As you can see my lower body strength and pulling strength is alot better than my pressing strength. All my pressing work is mainly arms.

What's your pull numbers like? Though a DL involves pulling, I think of it more as a back exercise than pull strength like pullups, rope climb, levers, or rows.

I thought it was take names, kick ***, and chew bubblegum but it works.

Eh i am actually relatively new to pullups, weird to think that after spending a few years in gyms lol.
Il do pulldowns with 100Kg's for plenty reps but il be 1st to admit i wont be great at pull ups YET?!

Today was rest day CF wise, but i had spring training with rugby. It was my 1st sprint session of the summer, man who thought working on sprint technique and only doing minimal sprints could cause so much quad, hamstring and calf pain. Im just in and im totally spent lol. Love it.

Re: Gonna kick *** and take names

Not sure if you should do the wod or not with your training tonight. Maybe of you have enough time between the workout and your practice you'll be okay? I always liked to watch the rugby teams practice when I was in college. Tough bunch of guys ya'll are...

Re: Gonna kick *** and take names

Haha thanks vanessa, u sweet talker you.

As its pre season training its mainly endurance/speed work. So i could do the jerk press. Id be hoping for something along the lines of 170-180 in my final set. Hopefully mroe but with rugby i dont wanna do too much.

Were are u based in the states?

170-180! That's *only* 100 pounds more than my push jerks.

I'm in the Dallas/Forth Worth area of Texas. Originally from Louisiana.
