Re: Size of box question

Jason,

I'd do away with 1 of the GHD's, 1 of the platforms, the cage, and the gravitron. Space in anything our box and smaller is at a premium. Use bands as your gravitron and hang them on the wall when you're done. GHD's take up quite a bit more space than you think, and is by far, our bulkiest piece of equipment that we have. It's an awkward piece of equipment to set up, either it's in the corner or it's protruding from usable wall space 6 feet out. Just my 0.02.

Good advice from Mark.

Don't underestimate the need for space to instruct with PVC pipe. As tempting as it is to fill every square inch with equipment, I find that the open space is crucial to running ops in a small area. We have 1000 s.f. plus two smaller rooms (for a total of 1400 s.f.) and it all seems to work.

For interesting photos of how to do a lot in a small space, check out CrossFit Jersey Shore.

Good luck.
