I am very pleased with my home-tested GS results today despite my injury. I did 65 easy right hand snatch reps with the 36# kb at 114# bodyweight and I had another 15-20 left before my grip would have died.
I did very little GS training prior to today's effort; only 3 or 4 short sessions. I suffered no respiratory distress and no leg/lower back fatigue that would have kept me from posting higher numbers if I could have used my left arm. Even with using only one hand, the rep total was high enough to have garnered a class 1 ranking in my weight division. When I can use both hands, I should be able to post numbers high enough to qualify as Candidate for Master of Sports.
Training Crossfit for the past 17 months has given me very good strength endurance and "toughness" - thanks Greg and Lauren for such a great program! :happy:
