Squatting / Overhead Press twinges
I wonder if anyone can offer some advice on some weird twinges I'm
getting around joints when performing these two exercises, and whether
there is anything I ought to be thinking, or even be worried about.
First with overhead presses, often as I push the bar up, at around the point
where my elbows come level with my nose I seem to get an odd stinging
twinging sensation in my right elbow…just on that side, and just for the first time.
I get a similar issue when squatting, though some of this is more likely my technique. I've been performing squats at the gym on a regular basis for around 3/4 months; and in that time seem to have aggravated some issue with the muscles or tendons in my right knee above the kneecap. When i'm finished squatting I occasionally get a weird dull aching sensation, but i also get it now at other random times, if i stretch my right vigorously (er….doing yoga for bad backs) for instance.
anyone had any similar issues or know whether its wise to carry on regardless?

Elbow twinges tend to be caused by tight triceps. Try loosening them and see how it is.
For knees, I had a similar issue on my left knee, and this video fixed it up and is also helping with some inflammation just below my patella ligament on my right knee.
