Re: Lee Hill's log

4/5/8

3 x CFNEWU

Up to CFT on WOD, feeling below par and planning on doing the 3 day cycle, after tuesday, so a 4 day effort. Therefore did 3x5 reps for each of the CFT lifts.

Squat: Wu then 5 x 110kg, 5 x 115 kg, 5 x 120kg. Felt ok.
Press: small wu then 5 x 50kg, 5 x 55kg, 3! x 57.5kg. Triceps gave in.
DL: 5 x 130kg, 5 x 140kg, 5 x 150kg. put bar down and reset position after each rep. 1 sketchy rep at 150kg (2nd one).

Feeling tired, was wiped out once home and in bed by 10pm.

Determined to eat more tomorrow.

Re: Lee Hill's log

9/6/8:

limited time, so went for cindy on steriods over hang power snatches.

4 rounds - 5 squats short of 5 rounds. Gutted. Spent too long after 4th round sucking air then held gasping conversation - then time ran out.

Re: Lee Hill's log

10/06/08

Warm up on punchbag, free squats

BACK SQUAT:

120kg X 5
125kg X 5
130kg X 5
120kg X 5
120kg X 5

Didn't go higher than 130 as aware form starting to be compromised on last rep. Also, left shoulder spasm after racking bar on last set. Don't trust it for snatches tomorrow, may abort that and do something equally skill-based. Don't know what yet. Suggestions?

Re: Lee Hill's log

Lee, cleans would be a good alternative. If the injured wing is up to it try jerks as well but either way a clean variant would be good to develop explosiveness.

Cheers, kempie

Re: Lee Hill's log

Cheers Kempie,

Rested yesterday - did sponsored walk with kids at school then got putting bairn to bed duties - a gruelling workout in itself at times.

Shoulder feels better, so starting the 3 day cycle that kicks off with 135lb squat clean and 15 HSPU X 5 sets this afternoon. Can't make it to CFNE this week but will hopefully see you guys Tuesday. Have you broken the rings yet?

Re: Lee Hill's log

Cfnewu x 3

135lb squat clean and 15 HSPU X 5 sets - 20:23

Felt really sluggish. All cleans bar first set broken. All HSPU broken. Shoulder held up. Hard workout - took a lot of time sucking up air.

Determined to give a better account of myself with tomorrows burpee pull up combo.
