Can somebody explain today's workout?

15-12, and 9 rep rounds of:
Back squat
Handstand push-up

Not sure what 15-12, and 9 rep rounds mean?
Should the goal be an unsupported handstand? Should I complete more reps if I use a wall for support?

Thanks!

If you can't do a handstand you can try with your feet supported. Or if you read the FAQ there's a list of substitutions you can do for various exercises.

Thanks for explaining...does this mean I only complete three sets in total for the day? Doesn;t seem like many sets...

Sort of. It's really 6 sets- three of each exercise. Regardless, after the first set of HSPUs you'll be wishing it was less.

The handstand pushups take a lot more out of you than you'd expect, that's for sure!

Don't forget that the WOD is designed to be worked around other sports. For example I had over two hours full contact martial arts training yesterday, and was very pleased that this was "all" there was. I still staggered out of my garage after that last set of HSPU!

I went ahead and completed the workout...I used a wall to support me during my Handstand Push Ups. I ended up completing the following:

Squat 145lbs 15reps, 185 10 reps, 205 8 reps, 225 6 reps, 245 5 reps, 265 4 reps, 285 2 reps.
All were followed by 9-10 wall supported handstand push ups...felt great...really hurt
