I used the new starting position with my hips lower for snatch and c+j. I really like it. I'm still having trouble feeling powerful with the snatch though. I got 78 up to my eyes. I just really need to get under the bar. The new starting position felt great for clean and jerk. We also changed my form to focus on stepping forward through the jerk which felt much better and stronger.

Big improvement in snatch today! Landed in full squat snatch in every rep. Stayed light to get a lot of good reps in. I finally decided to just not be scared to get under the bar.

I didn't feel as strong in the c+j today. I might have been tired because I went through the snatches and lighter c+j pretty quickly. I wasn't stepping through as well as I was on Tuesday, especially >=98. These were all power cleans but I am going to work on squat cleaning. I think my new starting position with my hips lower is much more conducive to catching in a squat rather than super tall.

Today wasn't great for squat snatch. I didn't catch in a squat above 57 and was getting frustrated. My form got better on the last few reps after I dropped back in weight.

Form was pretty good today. I learned that I don't have to dive into the bottom of a snatch, I can control the depth like a do a back squat which made things easier.

These were all squat cleans. Worked on a big pull and catching it low. The hardest part is coming out of the squat even though these are weights I can power clean.

Today I really snatched! I did a full squat snatch at every weight. Jim gave me the cue of hinging my hips, opening them after the second pull then snapping them closed and that was really helpful.
