hi all

here is my dilema...

Im new to this crossfit stuff, but love it and have completely bought into it
I am very disciplined (short time i know!) with regards to the workouts
I fully understand the paleo way of eating and 100% agree with it
Here is the problem...
Why am I so ill disciplined with regards to food... 3 days awesome 4 days lard!!
Please help with motivation tips etc

Probably from a lifetime of being taught a less-than-ideal way to eat.

Nothin' to it but to do it. Only you can help yourself.

The longer you eat clean, real food, the more aware you become of how badly you feel and perform when you eat crap. Empty your fridge and cabinets of crap food and fill them with good meats, vegetables, fruits, nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, etc. and you won't have the option to eat bad. Every time you cheat you're resetting the progress you've made on breaking your sugar addiction and improving your insulin sensitivity.

Re: newbie needs nutrition advice (of sorts)

I suggest reading an Anthony Robbins book for motivation.

Just do it, really. If it was easy, everyone one would be hot and have 2:30 Fran times. It's not easy, suck it up for a awile and it will get easier. But there is an initial period of "you just have to suck it up." That is the way it is.

Someone please post that link of how hard it is to be a fat unhealty lard butt, as compared to how easy it is to be healthy.

If thinking about clean eating/ paleo for life is too daunting at this time. Do the 30 dy challenge--Heck, you can do anything for 30 days!
By the end of the 30 you will definitly be able to tell a difference that will make you want to stay clean.

That's how I did it.

There are more complicated, longer-winded versions of this answer, but mine is simply:

1) Have well-defined goals.
2) Focus on them maniacally.

In my mind, if you're ill-disciplined, you're failing in one or both of those areas.
