I got this and think it kicks simply because I am a lazy and hate cleaning and with this it is super fast. I use it every morning for smoothies, suprisingly powerfull. Never use the attachments though.

I've got the old school Osterizer 8 pounder all steel deluxe model. It only knows two speeds...blend and atomize, it's legit.

I have both a Vitamix and a K-Tec Champ HP3 (renamed K-Tec Total Blender since I bought it, I believe). They're both incredible, and they both cost a small fortune, but the K-Tec beats the Vitamix hands down in almost every department.
