question on rowing

hi all
as im new to rowing i have a question for those who do a lot of rowing in terms of distance covered. I was in gym yesterday rowed for 10 mins with 60 sec interval rest so in total 20 mins sitting on rower i was covering over 300 metres for each of 10 60 sec interval. is this a good distance to be averaging for intervals

any advice appreciated

No you need to go a bit faster if you want to cover more distance

You were pulling at slightly below a 1:40/500 meter split. That's respectable for interval work, particularly if you don't have much experience on the C2.

Re: question on rowing

That sounds pretty respectable for being new to rowing. Make sure that you have good form. There's a bunch of good Youtube videos on erging technique.
