Adrian;

Good job. Did my first one last week in Pittsburgh PA. Small meet, I Snatched 45, CJ 55. Once I get better technique, should be in the 80/100 range.
Good luck in your training./

Re: my first o lifting comp

O-lifting is pretty fun. My imperfect clean and jerk is currently 90 lbs. I'm confident I could clean more, but I need to work on my form for the jerk. I can press ninety pounds so in theory I should be able to jerk much more.

Snatches... I just can't seem to balance those things right.

Anyhow, just keep working on your form. I'm sure you could do well over a hundred if you use good form.

You're think you'll almost double based on form alone? That's... interesting.

John, I'm in no way shape or form an authority on O lifting, in fact, I'm a screaming rookie. But Regis Becker from the Pittsburgh BBC, whom I train with on Saturdays implies that I have good solid basic strength, just NO form or technique at present time. He made the comment that 60-80 in Snatch, 3-6 months of good form work, could be reasonable, as Oly lifts tend to reward great speed and technique vs just trying to muscle up the lift, as I'm sure you know. If I was a tad better, I'd be coming down to the Lost Battalion meet next month, but since it's a long drive, will catch next meet in 2008.
Pittsburgh BBC is having a meet in Jan, you planning to attend.

I think I understand you better now. Doubling in a few months makes more sense, as it will probably carry with it speed/power increases, too.
Pittsburgh, man, that would be cool, but it's far, I lack a car, so I'm at the whim of my teammates.

Yep, sound like we're on the same page.

Regis mentioned that he should have about 50 lifters attending with some coming from the NY area. I'm sure some of your guys will be coming.
Do you lift at Lost Battalion and don't you post reg on the PM boards.
BTW, I'm catching Coach B this weekend in Ann Arbor and Greg's clinic the following weekend in DC.
Is this a great country or what?
