Metcon? or Gymnastics/weightlifting

Hi there,

I was browsing through the forum and saw some post about heavy metcons and stuff like that, and was wondering..

isn't metcon all about running, rowing, skipping, swimming etc..?

How izzit that FRAN can consider as metcon?
or a WOD that consist of triplet gymnastic movement considered a metcon?

Re: Metcon? or Gymnastics/weightlifting

Metcon refers to metabolic conditioning.

Generally intense heart rate conditioning using a variety of movements be it double, triplets, chippers, or any*******canmakearidiculousworkoutthatwillbeveryh ardonyoulikeaherowod.

Swim/Bike/Row/Run/Jumprope are just a bit different but can be included in metabolic conditioning.
