Hybridscoreboard.com

Hi Everyone--

Hybrid just launched a new site that will track your workouts and rank you according to your score. It will also rank you according to your age, gender, and weight. If you enter your "Fran" time it will be thrown in with EVERY single Fran time(entered into the site) and your ranking will be giving. There is a specific leaderboard for each individual workout and an aggregate leaderboard for all workouts combined. It updates every time a new score is posted so the leaderboard changes all the time. There are main site wods, Hybrid wods, Hero wods, Girl wods, and my own personal favorites(Rob's Wods). The site is and always will be 100% free.

Oh...almost forgot...you can hyperlink directly to YouTube or Vimeo or any other video host site to show off your filmed wods. It links right next to your score for everyone to see.

We're hoping to create the largest single, free database of workouts, scores, and video anywhere....essentially a living almanac of workouts.

We're open to suggestions on how to improve function so if you have a moment check out the site (Hybridscoreboard.com) and play with the software. One great function, I think, is the "compare" feature. Take 2 athletes and compare their stats side-by-side like 2 prize fighters.

Feel free to contact me directly on Facebook with suggestions or comments.

Thanks in advance for the feedback and support.

Re: Hybridscoreboard.com

Sounds awesome. Exactly what's needed seeing how we're now getting open sectionals. Can be very useful for "Quarterly Challenges" where every week for 13 weeks a different group of WODs are posted.

Now I assume it's points for placement type scoring? For the aggregate, I assume we can narrow the chooses such as eliminating any score that's older than 6 months.

Anyway, time to post some really slow times and light weights.

First things first, I note no scores for:

Bench Press 1rm
CrossFit Total Two (Front Squat, Bench Press, Clean)
400m Run
100m Run
Bike 1200m
Bike 2.5k
Bike 5k
Swim 50m
Swim 100m
Swim 200m

(ok, I added the bike and swim, so sue me)

Perhaps separate lifts into 1rm, 3rm and 5rm categories. For aerobic, although there can be variants for more than just run, bike swim. Ex:

Double Unders: 100x, 200x, 400x
1.5 Pood KB Swings: 50x, 100x, 200x
GHD Sit-Ups: 50x, 100x, 200x
Knees to Elbows: 50x, 100x, 200x
Pull-Ups: 25x, 50x, 100x
Burpees: 25x, 50x, 100x

Etc. Although, I don't know if these are popular enough to justify scoreboards.

Re: Hybridscoreboard.com

Stats: also include height

Scoring: With hundreds likely submitting scores over time, I think the scoring should be adapted. Of all submitted wods, you get points based on your percentage among all that submitted for that wod.

91-100% - 10 points
81-90% - 9 points
.
.
.
11-20% - 2 points
1-10% - 1 point

After that, just add up points and rank the totals. This means that even if 1000 guys submit a wod, you can see how you place amoung all of them. If only the top 10 got points, then eventually you'll only see specialists getting points.
