Tony's Stinkin' Log

Okay so I've only been doing this thing for about 4 days not but I'm nutty for it. I've been lifting for about 11 years now and it's boring me to death. I'm not getting the results that I think I should be getting based on the amount of time I spend working out. I'm super anal about my diet so that's good. I ran across this website while reading a B.J. Penn interview and have been obsessing over it ever since.

My current stats are:
30 y/o
6'1", 185
Not sure about the bodyfat but last time I had it checked i was 9% and that was pretty close to the body composition I have now.

I want to get a lot more cut up, become a better all around athlete, and build up a little enduance for my mountain biking.

This is getting wordy, So here we go.

I looked stupid today. I can't do kips so I looked like I was trying to shake a turd loose from my shorts. I'm going to try to do them a little each day to get the motion down. I've never been real strong on bench either. Okay enough excuses.

I had to modify this based on space and equipment.
11# ball, 150 reps, at an 8' target =
5:35

I'm pretty happy with my time. I felt like I was going to die but I think I'll call Karen again.
Tomorrow's a rest day.

Day 4

Yesterday was a rest day. As sore as I was I found it hard not to do anything. Wanted to try more but I didn't want to overtrain.

Having never tried front squats I knew my numbers would be low. I focused more on form the first time around.

3x135, 3x145, 3x155, 2x165 f on 3rd, 3x135.

Sprints tomorrow? Really, after legs, really. Do you hate me crossfit gods? Bring it.

Almost didn't get to do these today. Wife had a procedure this morning so I was with her and my preworkout meal was a smoothie king,,,,not recommended.

This one sucked. I can't do more than 7-8 pullups, I know weak. SO I scaled it down. Plus I don't have rings so.....
I did pull/bench dips= 5/30, 5/20, 5/15 the rest of the way for 10 rounds= 13:52

First one i've had to scale down to puppy. Embarrasing.

Fight Gone Bad

Went real bad. I had to sub 40# thrusters plus used 40# rows for calories because of no machine.

My total score was 302 which i'm happy with but........
On my first set of sumo's I felt my lower back get a little tight. I finished everything obviously but after I got done I new I screwed something up. Right now I'm in a lot of pain. Hopefully it goes away before tomorrow.

Overall I think this is the hardest WOD so far. I can't do normal things right now because I still feel weak in the arms, back, etc. I think it's in a good way. We'll know more tomorrow.

I'm forcing, no wait, my lower back is forcing me to take a couple days off. Bad form on the sumo high pull sent me to the chiropractor and then to the doctor for pain killers. I did it during my first set of Fight Gone Bad but worked through it which is good but also bad cause I pry screwed it up more. Oh well.
These next couple of days are going to be hard. I'm not the resting type.

It's Thursday and I haven't lifted since injuring my back on Monday. I'm really trying to let it heal but this sucks. It seems like I've got a head full of steam then this injury pops up. I was able to ride the bike last night for a mile so I'll try to stay on it tonight so I can work up to a weight training routine tomorrow. I won't be able to do an actual WOD but at least it will be something.
