Re: What's my body fat %?

Erase that **** off your camera, buy Starting Strength, and get to work.

You're also internally rotated. Do some wall slides and face pulls before you start pressing.

Some will have you do biceps and others as well, but just make sure they have those three things.
These are pretty inaccurate, actually. Like I said, if you're using caliper or tape measurements you can expect inaccurate, sometimes wildly inaccurate results depending on your fat distribution. They're good for tracking changes, but not for finding your "real" numbers.

The Tanita scales are probably worse, as they are not only inaccurate but also not going to track your changes well from week-to-week. If you go from 40% to 15% it'll read it, but so will looking in the mirror!

Re: What's my body fat %?

Little over 20%.

Shoulders back, head back, flatten out the lumbar (rotate your hips "up").

Hi Gant!

Re: What's my body fat %?

I'm not sure he is asking for bb, I took it as he was asking his bf so that he could figure out his zone blockage.

Based on those pics, and knowing what I looked like when I was in the low 20% range, and what I look like now in the 10-12% range, I'd guess you are probably in the 21-23% range.

Re: What's my body fat %?

I probably do 200-250 body fat % measurements a year using skinfold calipers. Mostly HS wrestlers before the season so we can determine their minimum wrestling weight. I have been doing some sort of program for 10+ years. It would be safe to say that I have performed about 2000 body fat tests in that span. I have measured the range from 4% to over 40% fat (yup, those kids wer obese!).

My opinion is you are around 20% body fat. You should loose a bit of fat for obvious health reasons. Ideally, you will want to drop to at least 15% bodyfat if not to 12% anything less than that is for asthetic reasons.

Good luck and good health.

Re: What's my body fat %?

Yeah, I agree with Sean... I would say the low 20's for sure... I have taken body fat % using various techniques, and from the pics, I believe my guess to be accurate. If there is a way to get to a BodPod, or a tank for hydrostat weighing... these will provide the most accurate measures. Don't use the scales for bioelectrical impedence, from my experience these are very inaccurate. I was 6%bf in a BodPod and Tank test, then jumped on the scale... said I was 20%.
