My take is he's watched Fight Club too many times. Do people remember who Jim Jones was? I'll never forget the morning I got up to get that paper, and saw a picture of dead bodies as far as the eye could see. They were desperate people--mostly from the Bay Area, as far as I can recall--who were told by a charismatic sociopath that he could save them from the toil and trouble of their lives. They followed him, on a pilgrimage of sorts, to a jungle in the middle of nowhere. There, they administered poison to something over 900 men, women, and yes, (276) children.

CrossFit is Gym Jones without the posturing. None of the many Spec. Op and SWAT folks I've met have felt any need to brag about how tough they are. What's the point? Talk is cheap.

This thread will get shut down soon, I reckon.
