Using a 2x4 risks tripping over it or the like. Also a 2x4 is higher than the heel on oly shoes

The Rogue's are really nice. I'm really happy with mine. You can get the same shoes from Muscledriver too for a little cheaper.

Re: Your Favorite Oly Shoes?

I have a somewhat wide forefoot and have the Rogue Dowins, they are awesome, night and day compared to a running shoe, especially on oly lifts, front squat, OHS, back squats are a lot better too, feels like your foot is cemented to the ground. Haven't tried any other oly shoes.

Re: Your Favorite Oly Shoes?

Thanks for all the replies! I kind of have a wide foot so this narrows it down some.

Re: Your Favorite Oly Shoes?

Has anyone tried a pair of shot put shoes? Looks like they provide the same functionality for a lower cost.

Re: Your Favorite Oly Shoes?

Throwing shoes don't have a heel - they are more like H Streets with a stiffer sole.
