Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

Haven't done any 100 PU for time since the last Angie, I was just going for max consecutive reps. I'm waiting for Angie to pop up again for that

I'm stuck at 43, I'm giving it a rest before I try to bang the 50s.

Can't wait for you to beat that PR, I'll look out for it !

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

man, i really wanted to go for the 100 Pullups for time yesterday, but they posted this workout for the WOD, i just had to do it.

10 rounds of :

3 Weighted Pullups @45#
5 Strict Pullups
7 Kipping Pullups

Time : 21:46

not particularly fast, but the strict Pullups after the weighted ones are toughhhhh.

guess i'll have to do the 100 Pullups on another day

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

Wednesday, 25th June 2008.

standard warmups.

WOD;
5 rounds of :

3 Muscle Up
6 HSPU
9 Knee to Elbows
12 Box Jumps (24")

Time : 14:56

Really struggled through the transitions for the Muscle Ups, and i must say its seldom that i can fight through it, But i still need a whole lot of time in between those MU reps.

the other 3 exercises were cake, pretty straightforward and unbroken for all 5 rounds.

managed to pull my first DeadHang MuscleUp!! wooooohooooooo! i dont know how i pulled it off, specially AFTER doing the WOD. I didnt try it for a 2nd time though, dont wanna spoil the celebration :P

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

DH muscle-ups are pure class ! Congrats !

Can't wait for you to get that 100 PU PR !

I hit an Angie yesterday because of back pain, couldn't do the ME snatch WOD. Cranked the 100 pull-ups in 4'45", I was so happy and smashed that I was screwed for the rest of the workout

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

yikes, 4:45? how did you break your reps? you went all out from the start or you gamed it into small sets?

i'm feeling fresh today (slept like 12hrs last night!) so i might aswell keep my word and do Angie today.

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

Well I was doing 10 pull-ups every 25 seconds, trying to keep that pace as long as possible. I held it for 60 pull-ups, then it was just banging 10s with as little rest as possible. Turned out very nicely

Have fun today !

Re: CF Malaysia.. finally!

Thursday, 26th June 2008.

standard warmups.

"Angie"
100 Pullups (6:19) <PR by 2min 52secs>
100 Push Ups (+5:26)
100 Sit-Ups (+6:50)
100 Squats (+3:05)

Time : 21:40 (PR by 4min 35secs)

i went for 3 PRs today, max rep pullups, 100 pullups & Angie time. Got all 3 of them.

Max Rep : 31 Pullups
100 Pullups : 6:19
Angie : 21:40

The Pullups, Pushups & Squats are all significantly faster than the first time i did Angie. But the Situps are still slowwww, i cant do more than 3-4 without feeling the cramp on my abs. sucks.

rested for about 45 minutes then did :

Double KB press 1-1-1-1-1
Double KB push press 3-3-3-3-3
Double KB jerk 3-3-3-3-3

All sets & reps were done with 24kg Kettlebells.

Nice work on the PRs, Ariff. Doing max reps and maintaining a good pace thereafter is really difficult. I always burn out if I go to failure. Finishing up Angie with a PR is doubly impressive. I say you deserve a

Hi Patrick, thanks for the dancing pepper

I had to switch my grip on the Pullups to keep going without taking too much rest. After the first 31 Pullups i switched to the ChinUp grip and banged like a few set of 6s. When i feel that i'm okay again, i went for 8-10 on the normal Pullup grip.

I feel that my Squats were so much better today, and my Pushups too. I think that few hours extra ZzZZZZzzZzZ last night payed off.
