Squat Stands

I know a lot of people like the Vulcan Racks/Squat Stands from Iron Mind, but I was wondering if anyone had seen/used the squat stands from Sorinex. They have a low hook as well, which would seem ideal for certain other exercises (pulls, bench press, etc.) Maybe the Vulcan racks have this feature, too ... hard to tell from the pic.

I like the sorinex ones personally. And once I have the money I will upgrade to them.

I have a couple of Golds Gym XRS 20. Not bad for the price, but its recommended max weight is 300 lbs. But they do me just fine for now and I picked them up locally.

If you have enough room - a power cage will be a more versatile option over the squat stands.

I talked to Bert at Sorinex ... real class guy. Unfortunately, delivery time on the Sorinex unit is 8 - 10 weeks. Ironmind has the Vulcan racks in stock .... mine should arrive in about a week.

If I weren't so impatient I probably would have gone for the Sorinex. I think you can tell a lot about the quality of a product by the quality of the person. I've never met Bert, but he impressed the heck out of me on the phone.

Leonid, that sure is a nice cage, but for me the smaller size and ease of moving the squat stands makes them a bit more useful.

The rack I mentioned above just arrived today. These things are solid. Great deal! They say MuscleMaxx on the side.
