CrossFitFootball. Do some gymnastics or oly lift stuff as your skill work. Handstand pushup and muscle-up progressions or Burgener warmup or skill transfer exercises. Start with just a stick or piece of PVC if you have to.

Then do strength followed by one of those heinous metcons. Depends on if you want to focus on strength or metcon.

Diet. Look at the Zone and Paleo. Bug your parents about it. Really you're at their mercy when it comes to what you eat.

Training? Is there a local gym nearby? A CF gym? You may simply have to watch a lot of videos and read a lot on the mainsite and performancemenu and ************ and gymnasticsbodies and drillsandskills. It'll be good for you to have to figure things out.

Use the search function to look up threads and read. Read, read, read. Watch, watch, watch and do, do, do.

Do you play any organized sports? If so, focus on that. Last time I checked CF isn't giving out any scholarships for college.

What does that have to do with it?

He is just trying to say that, the teenager should pursue/focus on sports because if he can succeed in that, it will take him farther than crossfit will.

Exactly...high school/college is one of the few times that one can really focus on organized sports. I am not saying that trying to get to the CF Games is a bad thing, but if you have an opportunity to train for competition at a collegiate level then I would think that would be more worthwhile.

the cool thing is that in a few years, all of these teenaged Cf'ers will be dominating in college athletics as well.

I find that doubtful. Though some on this board might contend that "life does not favor the specialist," organized sports certainly do.
