Bumper Plate costs

So I'm in the market for bumpers. I know there's a ton of brands/options/costs out there. My emphasis was to get a decent set of bumpers at a minimal cost (just like everyone else right). I wanted at least 500 lbs but I also looked at cost per lb.

In the end I'll probably go with the 500 lbs of HG Rogue bumpers.

Thought you guys might be interested in seeing some of these costs. Shipping is assumed to Michigan zipcode.

Re: Bumper Plate costs

Thanks. Yeah I could've gone crazy and did a ton more research and put more options on there but at the end of the day I wanted to keep it simple for my needs. I think I spent 1/2 an hr on this spreadsheet.

I mean for God's sakes I even found that Walmart sold bumper plates. lol

I'd consider going the Wayfair.com route using the 10% coupon & free shipping for the Pendlay v2's, believe it may be cheaper!

Re: Bumper Plate costs

Eddie - I may be paying someone to drive down to Ohio and pick some stuff up from Rogue and Edge Fitness Systems. You can probably get it in on it if you want. Probably will be cheaper than shipping and its to help out a good guy I know that's out of work.

What's your time frame?

I only see the Pendlays being sold as pairs. Do they sell them as a set? am I missing something? LOL

Don't think you are. As far as I can tell wayfair is only a good deal if you're just buying a single pair since they include the shipping cost on every pair, which adds up quick if you need a set.

Re: Bumper Plate costs

Hello Eddie,

Just to clarify; In your spreadsheet you have Pendlay listed as the brand and our Troy /VTX as the line.

Troy Barbell should be listed as the brand with VTX listed as the line.
Also, our VTX plates are available from Rogue among others.

Pendlay is actually a line of our competitor Muscledriver with various models within the Pendlay line.

Best regards,
Paul

Re: Bumper Plate costs

Awesome spreadsheet! Thought you may have missed this... http://www.fringesport.com/collectio...-bumper-plates (wfs). It has your 500 lb set instead of the 370 in the spreadsheet. Its in the "packages" tab rather than "weightlifting". Pretty darn good price at $725 shipped to you!
